Group Training

Personal Group Training was designed by Colin Fricker in 2001 to meet the demands of a more senior clientele who either wanted or needed a greater level of supervision while they trained. Many people have had less than great experiences with gyms. All too often they feel abandoned after that first and often brief introduction to equipment and feel too embarrassed to ask for help. At Fitness By Design we have lots of highly qualified and dedicated staff who really enjoy helping you achieve your results in a fun and friendly environment. Most people are complete beginners when they come to us so we ease you into a nice gentle programme which we adjust as you improve.

Our Personal Group Training takes place in our larger private room on the ground floor. We run hour long sessions in groups of 5 to 8 people every morning, Monday to Friday, starting on the hour at 9, 10, 11 and 12. We also do two evening sessions at 6 and 7pm on a Monday. These sessions are really aimed at our most senior clients or the true GP referral people who have serious medical conditions. We have several specialist pieces of equipment which are superb for helping disabled users or for rehabilitation from strokes or heart problems as well as several GP referral qualified staff who run the groups setting up every exercise for you when you train. We have many people in their 70's and 80's and even in their 90's in these groups.
