Personal Training

For anyone needing discipline and motivation to achieve your desired results a Personal Trainer will ensure you do. At Fitness By Design we have two private personal training rooms, air conditioned and very well equipped to give you unlimited variety in your workouts and now even include the latest pro5 power plates used by celebrities like Madonna and professional sports atheletes for that accelerated path to the toned body we all desire. All staff at Fitness By Design have to be highly qualified and affiliated to REPS (The Register of Exercise Professionals). Virtually all are level 3 (the highest level) Personal Trainers so you can choose a male or female Personal Trainer of your choice. All are qualified to give nutritional advice and can help you rehabilitate from injuries. Some are qualified with GP referral and have sports massage therapy certificates. You really are in safe hands with us to help you every step of the way. We have more highly qualified staff than any other Health and Fitness Club within 30 miles.

Prices range from £35 - £40 per hour which can be shared with another person if you choose.

Colin Fricker- Club Owner

Colin Fricker

Masters Dip F.T.S.T/ Gp referral/Power plate accredited. Colin has 15 years of experience in all aspects of Personal Training and Fitness instruction, for both sports specific and remedial clients of all ages. Graduating in January 2000 he became a gym manager within 2 months until he set up his own personal training company at North Dorset's rugby club in September 2001.

He was acting sports physio and fitness coach to their first fifteen for 5 years helping them secure several promotions to the highest leagues ever achieved in the history of the club and in winning several major trophies along the way. He is a very experienced sports massage therapist offering ultrasound and rehabilitation advice to many over the years.

His other strengths are in SAQ (Speed, Agility and Quickness) training for rugby and football teams, Group Personal Training for pensioners and disabled personal training clients.

I have a wide range of skills and experience to offer you that include, running specific programmes (5kms, 10kms, half-marathons and marathons), Nordic walking, nutritional advice, weight management and fitness training to suit your individual needs.
